BOCA RATON, FL -- Josmer Altidore got his MLS career off to a flying start by scoring three big goals in Red Bull New York’s run to the MLS playoffs. He then continued his amazing form by scoring a goal with a spectacular header in the playoffs vs D.C. United, the youngest player ever to score a goal in the MLS post season at just 16 years old. Altidore’s heroics was one of the highlights of the Red Bull’s season and championship bid. His 4 goals in just 7 appearances (2 starts) was enough to earn "Jozy" as a Sierra Mist Goal of the Week, the Red Bull Play of the Year award, and the recognition as one of Major League Soccer’s brighest young stars.
