Schulz Academy '90 dropped their opening game to the defending Megacard Summer Cup Champions FSA Austria MAGNA (2:4). The Austrians took the lead just 10 minutes into the contest. Schulz Academy came from behind to take a 2-1 lead scoring the equalizer just before the half and the second with just 10 minutes into the second half - Hasani Sinclair and Jamel Johnson were the goal scorers. Austria MAGNA scored their equalizer with only 10 minutes remaining. Schulz Academy then had a chance to take the lead but a good effort from captain Donovan Henry was blocked by a swarming Austrian defense. With five minutes remaining FSA Austria MAGNA took the lead for good and added a fourth in the final minute of regulation.
Schulz Academy will play Ado Den Haag (Netherlands) in their next match on August 3rd. Ado Den Haag tied Glasgow Rangers 1-1 in the other game from Group B today. In Group A, PSV Eindhoven defeated Borussia Dortmund 1-0, and Malmo FF beat Dinamo Zagreb 3-1.
