Schulz Academy Players Selected to '91 and '93 SYL ODP Select Teams
Hasani Sinclair and younger brother Sekani continue to shine
Schulz Academy forward Hasani Sinclair fends off two defenders in an area high school game. Hasani who plays for Amarican Heritage (Delray) is the leading goal scorer in 6A competition.
The unique, talent rich Super Y-League Select Team for the ’91 and ’93 age divisions was released. The ’92 team will be published tomorrow.  Schulz Academy player Hasani Sinclair made the allstar team for the ’91s and his younger brother Sekani made the ’93 selection.

“Across the board, the Super Y-League ODP Camp was better this year,” said BW Rhode Island Coach Scott Cannon. “I think the fact that this camp has placed guys in U.S. U17 Residency Camp the past few years helped open Juan Carlos [Michia] and Raul [Diaz Arce] to our system. Where in the past they were a little hesitant, they were much more keen on getting into the process of selecting players this time around.”

A high scoring affair on the Cocoa Expo Center’s Italy field revealed several obvious choices for the 2007 Super Y-League ‘91 Select Team.

“Every player here was top-notch,” said Northern Virginia Royals outside midfielder Uwem Etuk following his selection to the ’91 Select Team. “There were some college scouts around and it was great to see the National Team Staff watching my games. It makes you nervous, knowing they are watching, but as I get older I realize you have to be at your best every time out.”

“The competition is a lot faster in the Super Y-League,” said Deion Jones. “You see a lot of great teams you cannot play anywhere else.”

“I made the Super Y-League Select Team last season,” added Jones. “I went on the trip to Switzerland. It was something I will never forget.”

About the Super Y-League ODP National Camps
Over the course of the season, the top U.S. players in the USL Super Y-League were selected by the ODP Scouting System to attend the ODP National Camp. During an intense three-day combine at the ODP National Camp, players will be evaluated by ODP Staff Coaches and US Soccer National Coaching Staff for U.S. National Team Programs. During this time, players will learn the demands to compete at the highest levels of the game. In addition to the primary focus of identifying players to U.S. National Team Programs, many collegiate coaches will be scouting players for college soccer programs.
