Schulz Academy Gets Recognition From U.S. Congressman
BOCA RATON, FL, Feb.26, 2007 - As a result of earning several honors this past season, Schulz Academy Director, Dr. Josef Schulz, recieved a phone call, followed by an official letter, from Congressman Alcee L. Hastings, commending the Academy on it’s accomplishments and Dr. Schulz’s work in the South Florida community over the past few years. Schulz Academy was recently named to Soccer America’s Top 20 Youth Clubs in the nation, the USL Super Y-League First Eleven Club Rankings, earned a Super Y-League Top 10 Moment of 2006 when it’s U16 Boys became the first three-peat North American Finals Champions, for being the only club in the nation to qualify 5 boys teams to the 2006 SYL North American Finals, for being the club with the most individual honors for players in 2006 for Super Y-League ODP selections and SYL North American Finals All-Star teams selections, and for having more than a dozen players make Regional ODP and National Teams selections in 2006.
Club Director Dr. Josef Schulz said that he is honered to share this wonderful recognition with the club and thanks all the coaches, volunteers, parents and especially the players.
