The U14 started at 10:00 with a 12-0 score. Felipe Noguerol had a great day and scored 6 fantastic goals.
“He had 7 chances and finished 6 of them. He looked like a professional player in a 14 year old body. A very impressive performance of Felipe and the whole team. Although the opponent was not one of the strongest squads in the league, the team had a spectacular day” says Dr. Schulz, coach of the U14’s.
Michael Hornat (2), Renoir Welsonne (2), Evan Greenbaum, and Mauro Bondi had the other goals in this game.
At 12:00 the U15 Schulz Academy team continued the quality of play with a 9-1 triumph vs. their counterparts from Clearwater . Stefan Jerome (3), Kevin Arellana (3), Diego Pinto (2), and Miguel Gomez scored for the Schulz Academy team.
“Although it was our first game, the team showed already a very good chemistry. I am looking forward to a successful season with this talented team”, says coach Brian Carr.
In the following game at 2:00 the U16 Schulz Academy team continued the goal scoring talent. Daniel Gallardo (2), Hasani Sinclair (2), Alexandre Bidos (2), Reginals Phelps, Adam Kraemer, and Donovan Henry scored in this game.
“The opponent had problems with the speed of our team. I think with the talent we have in this team, we can go far this year. Our goal this year is to win the Florida division to get a better draw than last year at the National Finals. Because we finished second last year in the South East Division we had to play Chicago Magic in our first game at the Nationals, and they ended up winning the whole thing. We lost 4-5 against them, and this score just showed how close we were already last year”, states Fitz Sinclair, coach of the U16 Schulz Academy team.
The U17 game was a much closer encounter than the games before. After a 3-0 advantage for the Schulz Academy team at halftime behind goals of Fadi Mansour (2) and Gregory Edma, the opponent from Clearwater defended very well, and denied more scoring opportunities.
“Overall a great start for us. Clearwater is a new member in the Super Y League, and I think they realized what the Super Y League is all about. Youth Soccer on the highest level” indicated Dr. Schulz at the end of the long day at Veterans Park.
