While the Austrian Newspapers report about the possibility of Jozy Altidore to move to Austria to play for Red Bull Salzburg in summer 2009 (see article below), another Schulz Academy player impressed the coaches in his first practices at Rapid Vienna, Austria’s most successful and popular Bundesliga Club.

 Boca Raton, FL (November 15, 2007) - Congratulations to Solomon Braun, a U17 player of Schulz Academy and Boca Juniors since the age of 11, for being a National Finalist of the prestigious 2007 Wendy’s Heisman Award. The award is given each year to the nation’s top High School scholar athlete. The Heisman is more familiar to folks who follow college Football. Each year the winner of the collegiate version is drafted into the NFL for millions of dollars. The high school version is even better as it also takes into consideration academics. Also, the recipient’s school will receive $10,000 and the recipient automatically becomes a top candidate for college scholarships.

BOCA RATON, FL (October 19, 2007) - Josmer loves big games. It seems the bigger the game, the better he plays. In the Red Bull-LA Galaxy clash on Thursday night before 27,000 at the Home Depot Center, Josmer scored his 9th goal of the MLS season to rescue a point for his club. He also contributed defensively and often started many of the Red Bull’s attacks from a deep position. In injury time, Josmer nearly buried L.A.’s playoff hopes as he narrowly missed scoring his 2nd of the game after making a beautifully timed run into the Galaxy box.
