2 more Schulz Academy players selected for US Youth National Teams  

CJ PHELPS IN ACTION AT LAST YEAR’S NATIONAL FINALS AT THE HOME DEPOT CENTER VS. ALBERTSON

“Slowly I am coming back from a small injury, which bothered me almost for 3 months. I hope at the Showcase next week I can show already my full potential”, states Hasani Sinclair, co-captain with CJ Phelps of the U18 Schulz Academy team.

CJ Phelps and Hasani Sinclair will represent the Schulz Academy at the US U18 National Team Camp in Carson, California from December 28 – January 4. Both were invited to train and play for 8 days with their National Team teammates at the Home Depot Center to prepare for a trip to Australia early of 2009.

“Both players are very consistent with their performances in the Development Academy League and deserve this invitation. CJ and Hasani have all ingredients to become professional soccer players in the future. There is not one position CJ can’t play on a very high level, and Hasani showed last year that he can score in any game, especially in high competitive games. ”, says Josef Schulz, president of the Schulz Academy.

CJ was voted as the best right inside defender in the country in his age group by National Team scouts during last year’s Development Academy season. Hasani was voted as the top forward in the Development Academy League in the South East Division.    

CJ Phelps:” I am already very excited about this opportunity, and the upcoming Winter Showcase in California this weekend is a perfect preparation for the National Team Camp”.

The Schulz Academy U16 and U18 team is flying on Thursday to the Winter Showcase of the US Soccer Federation in California, where the 2 teams will play at the Lancaster National Soccer Center  on Friday vs. Solar FC, on Saturday vs. LAFC Chelsea, and on Monday vs. PA Classics.

“All our players are already looking forward to this opportunity to play in front of hundreds of college coaches, and all the Youth National Coaches of the country. They realize that perhaps they are one great performance away from also selected to one of the next National Team Camps.” mentions Fitz Sinclair, coach of the U18 team.
