After record turnouts at the 2009 Schulz Academy tryouts (Super Y-League and Development Academy League) the players have now been chosen
“I am impressed by the high level of quality of players coming to this year’s tryouts. This is the new generation of US Soccer for the future. All these players are much more advanced than players just a few years ago. These new breed of players combine already in early years the athletic component with extraordinary technique and the necessary understanding of the game on a higher level. We are looking forward to a very successful season this year, and we are sure some of these players will end up in US Youth National Teams”, states Dr. Josef Schulz, Director of the Schulz Academy.

“We will use the Super Y League in summer to see how the players perform on a higher level. Each player has the opportunity there to show the coaches that he is ready for one of the Academy League teams U14, U16 and U18, which start in September with their league play” says Jorge “Pitu” Alvarez, one of the coaches of Schulz Academy.
