With a dream start Schulz Academy opened their season in the Super Y League. While the boys won their 3 games convincingly, the girls dominated their opponents also in all their games this weekend. The Schulz Academy boys had to travel to Apopka to face Florida Rush, and all 3 teams came home with a victory. The U-13 team won by goals of Caleb Young and Juan Todeschini with a score of 2-0. “I was extremely happy with the way the team played their first game together. Everybody played on a high level throughout the game, and we were able to control the whole match with very good ball possession. The first goal of Caleb Young, only 11 years old, was something special. Everybody on the team had a very good performance”, stated coach Jorge “Pitu” Alvarez after the game.
In the U15 division a very strong first half was enough to beat Florida Rush 4-1. First half goals by Dylan Kenyon-Jones, William Suedois and Paul Hurrell gave the team a comfortable 4-0 lead.
U14 National Team Player Steven Oliveri had one assist in the game vs. Florida Rush U15
3 spectacular goals by Diego Ramos led to a 3-0 victory for the Schulz Academy boys in the U17 division.
The Schulz Academy girls completed the weekend sweep with another 3 wins. While the U13 team beat Florida Rush 3-1, and the U14 team was 2-0 victorious vs. Sunrise, the U15 girls had a great showing with a score of 10-1 vs. Sunrise.
“This was a great start, and we all hope we can continue like this. Most important was the fact, that the players enjoyed themselves, and results like this are always good for the confidence of the players. And this is at the beginning of the season always important”, mentions Dr. Josef Schulz, Director of the Schulz Academy.
