Jozy Altidore chats with his former coach Josef Schulz about “the good old times”
“It was a pleasure to see how Josmer developed from a young child to a well spoken, polite and sympathetic young man. He is only 19 years old, and has a big future in front of him. It was a great gesture of his to visit our young players of the club, who were enthusiastic to see an international superstar live. He gave autographs not only to the players, but also parents and bystanders were eager to get a signed ball, T-shirt or any other souvenir”, says Josef Schulz, Josmer’s former coach.
“It felt good to see my former environment, where I grew up as a soccer player. All the memories came back immediately, and all the memories were very good. Even Josef didn’t change at all, appearance wise and how he analyzed always my performances. He immediately mentioned what I should have done better in the final of the Federations Cup to secure the win vs. Brazil. And he was right, like he always was all the years before, when he helped me to learn the little details of professional soccer in my early years”, states Josmer Altidore while vacationing in his hometown Boca Raton.
