Shawn Barry’s goal against the leader of the Regionalliga Mitte in Austria, Grazer AK (GAK) changed the momentum in LASK’s 3-2 win on Thursday’s top game of the league. After GAK took over the game in the second part after a 1-1 halftime result Shawn Barry got the ball outside the box, overwhelmed the defender with his speed and strength, also dribbled around the goalkeeper to finish from a tough angle for the 2-1 lead for his team.
Although GAK came back to tie the game, LASK reduced with a late game winner the chances for GAK to win the Championship. LASK on the other hand is in a perfect position itself with 2 points behind leader GAK to win the championship. 2 minutes to the end Barry even could score his 2nd goal but his shot was saved by GAK’s goalie.

“Bopu” Koulouvaris’ on the other hand played away vs. the favorite to be promoted to Ausria’s 1. Liga, Wattens and scored in overtime a spectacular diving header to scare leader Wattens after a 2-0 lead.
