Dr. Schulz receives the “National Coach of the Year” Award from Aleks Mihailovic, Coaching Director of USASA

Last Friday, at the Hilton at the Clearwater Beach Resort in Florida, Dr. Schulz, Head Coach and President of the Schulz Academy, got one of the biggest honors of coaching in the US, the “National Coach of the Year” award from the United States Adult Soccer Association. Named already as the “Region III Coach of the Year” a month ago, Dr. Schulz was one of the 4 coaches besides Brent Conley, Region I Coach of the Year of the Western New York Soccer Association, David Hebestreit, Region II Coach of the Year of the Michigan Soccer Association, and Gary Berry, Region IV Coach of the Year of the California State Soccer Association – South waiting for the announcement at the Midyear Meeting of USASA.

“When I heard my name, announcing the National Coach of the Year, I was surprised, but when the applause and the standing ovations started, I was really very proud. It was not always easy to be a step ahead and doing things other programs copied after 4-5 years, but all the hard work at the end paid off”, mentioned Dr. Josef Schulz in an interview after the award ceremony.
