You could not have seen happier faces than those of the Schulz Academy U17 players after winning the final of the Kelme Cup in Naples this weekend. Reduced to only 12 players after 2 group games and the semifinal, which the team won 3-0 vs. SAA Real Madrid from Miami, the players left their heart, body and soul on the field to win the prestigious Kelme Cup. Coach Levent Gulert managed the last remaining energy of each individual player brilliantly in the 1-0 win in the final vs. Davie United and led the team with only one goal allowing in all 4 games to this triumph.
Michael Boorom, Manager of the Team: “Because of the fact, that some of our best players were not able to go to the tournament, we didn’t have too much hope to win when we arrived in Naples. But the players really showed heart in all 4 games and especially the final was breath taking till the end. I only can congratulate all the players including coach Levo to this unique performance under difficult circumstances. We not even want to name the players who scored in the games, because it was such a team effort”, stated Michael Boorom, Manager of the U17 Schulz Academy Team.
