"I am so proud of the players, how they represented themselves at the Showcase in Greensboro. The goal of the U16s was to secure 1st place by winning their first 2 games, and they did exactly that. Both games were highly contested, and decided in the last five minutes in both games. Sekani Sinclair and Sean Hart had the late game winners, which secured the participation at the Nationals in Carson, California at the Home Depot Center July 12-19. This success is even more important, because 4 players (Donovan Henry, Stefan Jerome, Brian Sylvestre, Zach Herold), who normally would play in this team are in the Residency Program in the U17 National Team, and played against us during the season. I am also proud of the U18’s, who finished second in the Southeast Divsion", states Dr. Josef Schulz, President of Schulz Academy.

The 2008 Summer Showcase in Greensboro, N.C., was the regular season curtain call for the first season of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy. U.S. Soccer’s Development Academy season will finish on a high note during Finals Week with all eight placement matches being broadcast on ESPN Networks in an unprecedented 20 hours of coverage over two days. The Conference winners from each age group will be divided into two groups of four and participate in a round-robin format during the first six days of Finals Week. The teams will then crossover and play placement matches on Friday, July 18, and Saturday, July 19. All eight placement matches will be broadcast live during the two days, highlighted by the U-17/18 championship match that will be live on ESPN 2 on Friday, July 18, at 8 p.m. PT. The seven other matches, including the U-15/16 championship match, will be broadcast on ESPNU.
